From September 2008, the following criteria must be met if you would like to apply for The PGA Foundation Degree:
- Age 18 by 30 September of the year you intend starting.
- Have an email address and should have internet access
- Be maintaining a handicap of 4 or better (6 for ladies).
- Have 4 GCSEs at Grade 'C', or 4 CSEs at Grade 1, including Maths and English Language. Maths and English at this level must be held. For adults, Adult Numeracy and Literacy (Level 2) will count.
- SCOTTISH equivalents accepted are: Standard Grade Credit (SCE) Grade 3 GSVQ II Scottish Group Award - Intermediate 2 SVQ Level II
- IRISH equivalents accepted are: Junior Certificate - Grades A-D Leaving Certificate Applied NCVA Foundation - Grades Pass or Honours
- Applicants from outside the UK must have their country's equivalent.
You must have Maths and English, but if you do not have any of the others above, we will accept one of the following along with the Maths and English qualifications:
- ‘A’ Levels, BTEC National Diploma, NVQ Level 3, 4 or 5, Advanced GNVQ, HNC and HND.
- National Certificate in a relative subject with a Credit or Merit profile.
