Bangkok Golf Training Centre has been granted full training status by the British PGA as of 2007, thus becoming the first complete British PGA training centre outside of Europe a truly unique concept.
We are proud to announce our NEW British PGA Training Scheme. For the first time in Asia, Professional golfers and good amateur golfers alike, can enroll with the British PGA and train in Thailand under the supervision of a Class AA British Professional. The scheme is a full time training course run for a minimum of three years with exams to be taken in England each year. All coursework will be completed in Thailand and each applicant will be required to work a set amount of hours at Bangkok Golf Club and Bangkok Golf Training Centre in addition to coursework.
The onus of the course is to qualify applicants to become fully qualified PGA Professionals specializing in:
- Teaching Golf
- Playing Tournament Golf
- Golf Management
- Golf Club Repair and Customization
- Biomechanics of the Golf Swing
- Dietary needs in Golf
- Financial Accounting
- And many other subjects related to golf.
The scheme is linked to the University of Birmingham, England, and is a Foundation Degree in Professional Golf. This qualification is recognized worldwide and is essential if wanting to work abroad in the golf Industry.
