Saturday Clinics
A new program for us at Bangkok Golf Training centre and a new fun way for juniors of all ages to learn the skills needed to play golf. The program is designed for beginner’s novices and intermediate juniors and is a great way to develop skills, technique and knowledge with one of our PGA Professional’s. The clinics are divided it to two separate programs: Am is for the practice area and developing technique, Pm is for playing and a chance for them to get out onto our Par 3 course and actually put all there new skills into action, no need to get stuck doing the same old thing week in week out on the driving range.
Thursday’s Short Game Skills Challenge and Clinic
The most innovative and fun way for the more advanced players to learn about and improve their short games with real life scenarios, a competitive edge all under the guidance of one of our PGA Professionals.
There are 9 different skills challenges each week, all revolving around chipping, putting, bunkers and recovery shots. Each player has 3 goes at the skill and their best effort counts, the winner is the player who produces the best shot – points are awarded and carried forward to the next challenge, the overall winner is the one with the most points. After each skill our Professional will give a short clinic on options and ways to play each shot, providing an insight into the options and choices that need to be made.
Although it is the best shot that counts, each shot is recorded and kept to create the statistics need to analyse both the strengths and weaknesses in each players short game, as the weeks go by the more details are gathered and the more our professionals will be able to guide each player in what they need to work on. |
