Re-gripping
Poor grips are a common and regular cause of errant shots. Any golfer who has taken the time to have a lesson will have heard their professional telling them how important it is to grip the club in the correct manner. However if the grip is slippery and/or worn all the work you have done will be wasted as your hands move as you try to hit the ball making it almost impossible to hit consistently accurate shots.
It is also of fundamental importance to make sure that you have the right style and size grip, a grip that is too big or small for your hands will make it impossible to grip the club with the correct technique therefore leading to swing faults before you have even tried to hit the ball. So bring your clubs to our qualified staff and we will advise you when you need to put new grips on your clubs. |

Re-shafting
The shaft is the part of the club that has the greatest effect on the swing and how you hit the ball. As shafts get old they change their composition. Steel shafts become pitted and lose their reaction through the swing, this leads to a loss of distance and an even bigger problem of inconsistent distance control. Graphite shafts, over time, suffer from general ware and tare marks along with nicks which lead to the same problems of inconsistent distance control.
It is also key that you have the correct shaft for your swing both in the material you choose – steel or graphite – and the flex. Our qualified staff will give you and your clubs a full check before we advise you which shaft to change to both with your irons and woods. |

Groove Re-score
The grooves on your irons are what enable you to impart spin on the golf ball. This spin helps to control the direction of the ball especially with the longer irons but perhaps more importantly and more visibly the back spin and stop you get when the ball lands on the green especially with your wedges. The more you play and practice with your clubs the grooves start to close up, over time this will result in a loss of spin and control over your approach shots and chips.
There are lots of regulations regarding depth, shape, size and distance between grooves. Our qualified staff will re groove your clubs giving you back the full control you need to play your best whilst making sure that your clubs are always in line with current regulations. |
