About Bangkok Golf Training Centre

Bangkok Golf Training Centre was set up and started in 2001 when Paul Higginbotham joined Bangkok Golf Club; the Training Centre quickly became firmly established as part of Bangkok Golf Club and Resort’s facilities.

During its first five years both the Training Centre and Paul have become established in the area as a renowned teaching facility for improvement, professionalism and excellence at all levels of the game and for all ages, we boast visitors not only from Bangkok and Thailand but all over Asia and further afield.

We aim to improve everyone’s knowledge, enjoyment and ability in golf and have long been associated with the teaching, training and coaching of juniors, whether that is introducing the game to juniors through our work with International Schools, – both here in Bangkok or on vocational trips from further afield – our junior training programs and tournaments, that not only prepare children to play but also educate them on the rules and etiquettes of the game, right through to training champions – Paul has worked with several Thai and foreign players who have gone on to play in Asian tour events and our latest success is Nong Sai, who in July 2008 became world junior champion, after competing for many months all around Asia and finishing in the United States.

In 2007 all the hard work to establish the Training Centre was rewarded when it, and Paul, gained PGA Training status from the British PGA, this means that Paul is now fully registered to train future professionals in all areas of the both the golf game and the golfing business, enabling them to become PGA professionals themselves. This along with all the facilities we have puts us in a unique position to meet the needs, requirements, hopes and even dreams of all golfers.

The Training Centre is currently going through an exciting stage of expansion and already has 2 assistant professionals registered and undertaking the British PGA training scheme, with plans to expand on this for Thai nationals in the near future. This is enabling us to enhance what we are already doing and create new products and schemes all the time, along with the latest renovations to the training centre itself.

In addition to all of the work and education we provide for the game of golf we also run a full workshop where we can carry out all kinds of repairs and customizations to clubs. We are also working on being able to provide a custom fit service and golf shop to meet every aspect of every golfer wants and dreams.
